Film Permitting in Mooresville

The Town of Mooresville Arts & Events Division is the managing office for all commercial film projects within the Town of Mooresville. Please allow ample time for application review, especially if significant Town resources are required for your shoot to be successful. Applications must be received at least seven (7) days before your first shoot date. Location managers and film producers can apply for a Film Permit through Eproval which covers the following activities: Low-impact shoots that occur on Town of Mooresville property; High-impact shoots that occur on Town of Mooresville property and require the coordination of Town services or assets;  commercial still photography shoots on Town of Mooresville property; and the utilization of drones for filming purposes. Please review the Film Planning Guide* for more information! A filming permit does NOT need to fill out a Special Event Request application.

*Coming January 30, 2025
